We all went to school to acquire the skills necessary to lead productive adult lives. We take classes to get a driver’s license, lessons to play golf or piano.
But no one formally taught us how to raise a family.
Congregation Shearith Israel has created the Family Center through which we will offer many young family programs and events for families with children up to 8 years old. We are committed to young families; therefore, we have an entire staff devoted to provide exciting and engaging programs to enhance your Jewish parenting experiences in the home, synagogue and community.
Our programs, classes, and support services are designed to strengthen emotional bonds between parents and children and to promote optimal child development. During the challenging and fun childhood years, the Family Center inspires a shared early learning experience to support the growth and development of our children.
The Family Center offers activities in a warm and nurturing environment for people of all ages: infants, toddlers, preschoolers, parents, and grandparents. Our educational classes and lectures, workshops, holiday events, support groups, and baby playtime bring our center alive with activity and learning.
The Family Center project is unique to Shearith Israel and the Dallas Jewish Community, so we want to invite as many young Jewish families as possible. The Family Center offers a broad spectrum of programs to teach skills necessary to enrich and nurture family relationships that will strengthen the base of Jewish identity and family values.
Contact Esther Wolf, Family Center Director, at 214.939.7316 or ewolf@shearith.org for information regarding any of our programs.
